Shelby Announces $128,000 for Birmingham International Airport

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration will award $128,000 to the Birmingham International Airport to rehabilitate the taxiway.

“Investing in Birmingham Airport’s infrastructure will not only provide the safest and most efficient transportation services for Alabamians, but will ensure that the area remains desirable for residents and businesses,” said Shelby.  “The Birmingham International Airport will use this funding to rehabilitate a portion of its taxiway and to enhance airport security.”
