Shelby Announces Red Cross Assistance Available for Tornado Victims

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), today announced that the American Red Cross is responding to the tornadoes that touched down in North Alabama this morning.  The Red Cross will provide food, shelter and other assistance to tornado victims. 

“I encourage anyone who needs assistance as a result of this morning’s tornadoes to contact the Red Cross,” said Shelby.  “My staff in Alabama and in Washington has been in touch with state and federal emergency management personnel and local officials to determine the extent of the damage and destruction.  I will continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with federal, state and local officials as they move forward in their clean-up and recovery efforts.”
