SHELBY ANNOUNCES $140,000 FOR THE BULLOCK COUNTY COMMISSION

U.S. Senator Richard C. Shelby (R-Ala) announced today that the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) will award a grant of $140,000 for the Bullock County Commission.

This grant will fund drainage and grading work for the new route from US Highway 82 via Industrial Boulevard to the Hinge Tech USA facility in the existing industrial park. As a result, it is expected that Hinge Tech USA will create 60 new jobs in Bullock County.

Sen. Shelby said “I am pleased to make this announcement for the Bullock County Commission. These funds will spur economic growth by creating new jobs and help reduce the unemployment rate in this region of the state.”

The DRA serves a 240-county/parish area in an eight state region and is designed to remedy severe and chronic economic distress by stimulating economic development and fostering partnerships that will have a positive impact on the region’s economy.
