SHELBY ANNOUNCES OVER $917,000 FOR UA CENTER FOR ADVANCED VEHICLE TECHNOLOGIES

WASHINGTON, D. C. — U.S. Senator Richard C. Shelby (R-Ala) announced today that the U.S. Department of Transportation will soon be releasing $917,898 to the University of Alabama Center for Advanced Vehicle Technologies.

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased that over $917,000 will be coming to the University of Alabama Center for Advanced Vehicle Technologies. These funds will be used to support the efforts of the center to research and develop new nano-structured catalysts for hydrogen production and fuel cell applications.”

Senator Shelby was instrumental in securing these funds in the federal appropriations process.
