U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded $225,645 to Houston County for the Brannon Stand Road bridge replacement project.
“The Brannon Stand Bridge is a critical component of Houston County’s transportation infrastructure,” said Shelby. “This road receives a large volume of traffic and must be widened to ensure the safety of those traveling on it. This grant will help fund the four-lane widening project.”
