SHELBY ANNOUNCES $4 MILLION FOR BIRMINGHAM AIRPORT AUTHORITY

WASHINGTON, D. C. — U.S. Senator Richard C. Shelby (R-Ala) announced today that the U.S. Department of Transportation will be releasing $4 million to the Birmingham Airport Authority. These funds will be used to remove obstructions at the Birmingham International Airport.

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased to announce $4 million for the Birmingham Airport Authority. It is an important priority for me that Alabama's airports are given the needed resources so they may remain safe and convenient for the passengers and pilots who use them.
