SHELBY ANNOUNCES FUNDING FOR MUSCLE SHOALS FERTILIZER CENTER

Full Committee Passes Foreign Operations Appropriations Bill

U. S. Sen. Richard C. Shelby (R-Ala.) announced Senate Appropriations Committee approval today of $4 million in funding for the International Fertilizer Development Center located in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Senator Shelby was instrumental in securing this funding.

Sen. Shelby said, "I am very pleased that the committee has once again recognized the merits of this funding request and agreed to provide $4 million to further the work of the International Fertilizer Development Center in Muscle Shoals. In addition to the important research conducted at this facility, the facility employs numerous Muscle Shoals-area residents."
