U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science, today announced that the National Institute of Standards and Technology has awarded $221,584 to the Alabama Technology Network for the statewide Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program.
“Manufacturers across Alabama rely on the Alabama Technology Network for information on ways to improve their businesses,” said Shelby. “Through the MEP, Alabama’s manufacturers are connected with experts who can provide resources that help businesses learn how to cut costs while increasing productivity and growth. This is critical to American manufacturers that are attempting to successfully compete in the global marketplace.”
