U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will award $190,313 to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for clinical research related to neurological disorders.
“UAB is one of the premier medical schools in the nation,” said Shelby. “This funding will help ensure that the university continues to conduct cutting-edge research on some of the most serious disorders facing Americans today. I am confident that the results from this research will benefit many people across the United States.”
