U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration has awarded $64,076 to the Geneva Municipal Airport so that it can rehabilitate its runway.
“Efficient transportation systems are critical to attracting new citizens, tourists and businesses to areas,” said Shelby. “We must ensure that our local airports have the infrastructure necessary to provide for the safety of their passengers. Geneva Municipal Airport will use this funding to rehabilitate its runway. ”
