U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration has awarded $38,760 to Pryor Field Regional Airport in Decatur, Alabama. This funding will be used to construct a terminal building.
“Investing in the infrastructure of Alabama’s local airports will not only provide the safest and most efficient transportation services for Alabamians, but will ensure that the area remains desirable for residents and businesses,” said Shelby. “Pryor Field Regional Airport will use this funding to construct a new terminal building, which will satisfy the needs of both travelers and pilots traveling through north Alabama.”
