Shelby Announces $139,131 for Vaiden Field

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration has awarded $139,131 to Vaiden Field in Marion, Alabama.  This funding will be used rehabilitate taxiway lighting.

“We are constantly reminded that we need to remain vigilant in improving the safety of air travel,” said Shelby.  “Vaiden Field will use this funding to improve its taxiway lighting.  It is important that Vaiden Field have the necessary funding to allow travelers to be safe and secure both at the airport and in the air.”
