U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration will release $159,960 to Dothan Regional Airport to rehabilitate its runway and update its Airport Master Plan Study.
“We must ensure that our smaller airports have the infrastructure needed to meet the demands of growing communities,” said Shelby. “Dothan Regional Airport will use this funding to rehabilitate its runway and update the airport layout plan. These changes will allow for easier access to the community by air and will attract new businesses and jobs, helping to spur economic growth throughout the Wiregrass.”
