Shelby Announces $30,906 for Lanett Municipal Airport

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration will release $30,906 to the Lanett Municipal Airport so that it may conduct an Airport Master Plan Study.

“The Lanett Municipal Airport has recently seen an increase in aviation activity from jet aircraft owners,” said Shelby.  “The Lanett Municipal Airport will use this funding to conduct a study to determine what improvements are needed to the current runway to accommodate these aircraft owners.”
