SHELBY ANNOUNCES OVER $3 MILLION FOR HUNTSVILLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority will receive $3,396,302 from the Federal Aviation Administration for improvements at the Huntsville International Airport.

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased to make this announcement for Huntsville International Airport. These funds will be used to expand and improve the terminal building to more efficiently accommodate passengers. I was pleased to play a role in securing these funds so the airport may continue work on its improvement efforts.”

This funding, which was secured in the federal appropriations process, will be administered through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP).
