Shelby Announces $36,250 for the University of Alabama at Birmingham

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institute of Mental Health has awarded $36,250 to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) for schizophrenia research.

“The University of Alabama at Birmingham is home to one of the premier research hospitals in the United States,” said Shelby.  “This funding will ensure that UAB continues its important research on disabilities that affect people across America.”
