Shelby Announces $219,000 for Auburn University

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will award $219,000 to Auburn University to study the psychopathological concept of extinction.

“Auburn University is home to some of the world’s best research facilities,” said Shelby. “This fascinating research will help doctors understand certain physiological and behavioral conditions that may help us better understand theories behind extinction.  Research resulting from groundbreaking projects, such as this, will benefit the lives of people across our nation."
