SHELBY ANNOUNCES $665,000 FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA TRANSPORTATION CENTER

WASHINGTON, D. C. — U.S. Senator Richard C. Shelby (R-Ala) announced today that the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA) will be releasing $665,000 to the University of Alabama’s University Transportation Center for Alabama (UTCA). These funds will be used to apply research and the latest technologies to improve the management and safety of transportation systems.

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased to announce $665,000 for the University Transportation Center for Alabama. UTCA engages talented researchers and students in creating the transportation system of tomorrow which will continue to spur economic growth well into the 21st century. ”
