U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that Autauga County will receive $150,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration for improvements at the Autauga County Airport.

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased to make this announcement for the Autauga County Airport. These funds will be used to construct a new fuel farm in the terminal area as well as continue expansion of the apron to meet the expected future demands of the airport. I was pleased to play a role in securing these funds so the airport may continue work on its improvement efforts.”

This funding, which was secured in the federal appropriations process, will be administered through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP).
