County will be Reimbursed for 100% of Eligible Expenses Incurred during 48-hour Period after Tornado
U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL) today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has agreed to reimburse Coffee County for 100 percent of eligible expenses incurred during the first 48-hours after the storms on March 1, 2007.
“Coffee County, and in particular the City of Enterprise, was devastated by the tornados that ripped through Alabama causing more than $400 million dollars in damage,” said Senator Shelby. “In the aftermath of the storms, I visited Enterprise twice, and what I saw there was devastating. Lives were shattered and the county is struggling to rebuild. This federal funding will help the residents of Coffee County recover from this terrible disaster.”
