President Signs Consolidated Appropriations Bill Into Law

U. S. Senator Richard C. Included in this legislation, at the request of Senator Shelby, is $25 million for continued construction of I-22 (Corridor X) and the Northern Beltline.

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased that we were able to include an additional $25 million for continued construction of I-22 (Corridor X) and the Northern Beltline. The completion of I-22 and the Northern Beltline will stimulate economic growth, create new jobs, and improve the safety of drivers in northwest Alabama.”

Since fiscal year 1999 and including this year’s appropriation of $25 million, Senator Shelby has secured $305 million for the development and construction of Corridor X and the Northern Beltline.
