U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Services has awarded $428,090 to the University of Alabama for its project: Establishing Whether Chromium Is an Essential Element: Absorption, Transport, and Mode of Action.
“The University of Alabama is one of the country’s premier research universities,” said Shelby. “This grant is an example of our nation’s continued support of higher education and scientific research. We must support meritorious research projects that will strengthen Alabama’s scientific community.”
