U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Transportation has awarded $1,224,597 to the Gulf Shores Airport to rehabilitate its apron and make security enhancements.
“A strong transportation infrastructure is critical to attracting new businesses and industry,” said Shelby. “The Gulf Shores Airport will use this funding to rehabilitate its apron and for new security enhancements.
