Shelby Announces $447,171 for National Center for Victims of Crime

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science, today announced that the Department of Justice will award $447,171 to the National Center for Victims of Crime

“We must ensure that all victims of crime have access to resources that will help them recover, both emotionally and physically,” said Shelby.  “These funds will help the National Center for Victims of Crime expand its national capacity to assist victims of crime through a national helpline and online resources.  Additionally, this funding will be used to provide training to local law enforcement and service providers who interact with victims of crime.”
