U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will release $50,000 to the University of Alabama for the Traumatic Brain Injury Protection and Advocacy program.
“Those suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) are often left without resources necessary to help them navigate support services or find information regarding their debilitating disability,” said Shelby. “This important funding will be used by the University of Alabama to assist individuals with TBI and their families obtain information, advice and legal assistance. We must continue to do all we can to assist those in our community who suffer from this disability.”
