SHELBY ANNOUNCES OVER $434,000 FOR GENEVA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

WASHINGTON, D. C.--- U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that the Town of Geneva will receive $434,853 from the Federal Aviation Administration for improvements at the Geneva Municipal Airport.

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased to make this announcement for the Geneva Municipal Airport. These funds will be used to make necessary runway improvements at the airport, and upgrade its fire response capabilities by expanding the airport's rescue and fire fighting building. I was pleased to play a role in securing these funds so the airport may continue work on its improvement efforts.”

This funding, which was secured in the federal appropriations process, will be administered through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP).
