Alabama A & M University

Sen. Shelby said, “I am pleased to announce $500,000 in transportation assistance to Alabama A & M. The money will allow the university to purchase buses and build bus facilities.”

The project provides for replacing both river bridges and replacing and widening the northbound and southbound approaches. Sen. Shelby said, “The existing bridge was constructed in 1931 and is in desperate need of replacement to accommodate current traffic as well as projected traffic growth.”
