U. S. Sen. Richard C. Shelby (R-Ala.), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced a $50,000 grant for the Crenshaw County Economic and Industrial Development Authority in Luverne, Alabama.
The funds will be used to provide local economic development planning and leadership training to create new rural job opportunities. The project will be supplemented with $130,250 from the Crenshaw Economic and Industrial Development Authority.
"I am proud to announce these funds for the Crenshaw County Economic and Industrial Development Authority," said Shelby. "This grant will aid the County in their efforts to create new job opportunities and economic development in the area."
