WASHINGTON, DC – Wednesday, May 6, 2015 – U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) today released the following statement after meeting with World War II and Korean War veterans from Tuscaloosa participating in their Honor Flight:
“Today, I had the honor of meeting with and paying tribute to World War II and Korean War veterans from Tuscaloosa participating in their Honor Flight. This experience was both humbling and exciting, as these Alabama veterans had the opportunity to view the national memorials dedicated to their selfless service to our country. The valor and patriotism of our service members must never be forgotten nor taken for granted.”
