U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will award $25,000 to the University of Alabama for its traumatic brain injury protection and advocacy program.
“Those suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) are often left without resources necessary to navigate support services or find information regarding their injury,” said Shelby. “The University of Alabama will use this important funding to assist individuals suffering from TBI and their families obtain information, advice, and legal assistance. We must continue to do all we can to help victims of this injury.”
