U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will award $6,478,446 to the Community Action Partnership of Northern Alabama for Head Start project.
“Children are the future of our nation and we must do all we can to ensure that they have the tools they need to thrive,” said Shelby. “This funding will help support Head Start programs in North Alabama that provide important early education, health and nutrition programs to pre-school aged children. The children that benefit from this important program are given tools that will help them succeed in school and at life.”
