SENATOR SHELBY AND THE SENATE BANKING COMMITTEE WILL HOLD A HEARING INTO PRIVACY AND CONSUMER PROTECTION ISSUES ON THURSDAY, SEPT 19, 10 AM, 538 DIRKSEN.
The hearing will examine the public's concern about financial privacy, the adequacy of current Federal laws designed to protect the personal nonpublic information held by financial institutions, and whether improvements in Federal law are necessary or appropriate for the protection of consumers.
