SHELBY ANNOUNCES $150,000 FOR DEMOPOLIS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that the City of Demopolis will receive $150,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration for improvements at the Demopolis Municipal Airport.

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased to make this announcement for the Demopolis Municipal Airport. These funds will be used to construct additional hangars needed to accommodate an increased number of aircraft at the airport. I was pleased to play a role in securing these funds so the airport may continue work on its improvement efforts.”

This funding, which was secured in the federal appropriations process, will be administered through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP).
