U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration will release $138,760 to the Talladega Municipal Airport so that it may update its Airport Master Plan Study, install an emergency generator and implement its Safety Management System Study.
“A strong transportation infrastructure is critical to attracting new businesses and industry,” said Shelby. “The Talladega Municipal Airport will use this funding to conduct a Safety Management System Study, as well as update its Airport Master Plan Study and install an emergency generator. The studies and the installation of the generator are essential to efficiently planning the development and growth of the Talladega Municipal Airport.”
