WASHINGTON, D. C.--- U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that the Montgomery Airport Authority will receive $2 million from the Federal Aviation Administration for improvements to Montgomery Regional Airport (Dannelly Field).

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased to make this announcement for the Montgomery Airport Authority. These funds will be used for phase III terminal renovation and expansion, which will consist of aircraft parking apron improvements, access road improvements and additional terminal design and construction needs. I was pleased to play a role in securing these funds so the airport may continue work on its improvement efforts.”

This funding, which was secured in the federal appropriations process, will be administered through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP).
