SHELBY ANNOUNCES OVER $1.2 MILLION FOR CENTER FOR INJURY SCIENCES AT UAB

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that $1,211,786 will be released from the Department of Transportation for the Injury Control Research Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased these funds are being made available to continue the important work being done at UAB’s Injury Research Center. The research at the center will allow us to improve and expand the Alabama Trauma Care System and reduce mortality due to trauma-related injury.”
