Senate Passes FY 2005 Military Construction Appropriations Bill
The bill includes funding for improvements to be made to three readiness centers in Alabama. They are:
- $5.537 million for the Readiness Center in Centreville
- $3.649 million for the Readiness Center in Clanton
- $4.527 million for the Readiness Center in Oneonta
Sen. Shelby said, “I’m pleased the Senate passed this important legislation. This funding will help the Alabama Army National Guard in revitalizing its infrastructure and will support its training mission. These funds also represent our commitment to national security and to the men and women who serve our country.”
In total, $98 million for Alabama Military Construction projects was included in the Military Construction Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2005.
