Shelby Announces $674,200 for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science, today announced that the Department of Justice will award $674,200 from the Juvenile Accountability Block Grant Program to the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.

“It is important that we continue to work with our nation’s young people to provide them with the tools and training they need to become contributing members of society,” said Shelby.  “We must support our communities in their efforts to develop and implement juvenile delinquency prevention and intervention programs. This funding will be used to support youth programs in Alabama aimed at preventing juvenile delinquency.”
