Shelby Announces Over $ 1.4 Million for Auburn University

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice and Science, today announced that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has awarded $1,471,977 to Auburn University for the construction of an additional building at the Center for Aquatic Resource Management.

“As demands on our water resources grow, the research conducted at the Center for Aquatic Resource Management will be integral to sustaining and maximizing the use of our natural resources,” said Shelby. “This important grant will be used to construct a 10,000 square foot building at the Center for Aquatic Resource Management that will house staff offices, live fish storage and a fish marketing training facility.”
