SHELBY ANNOUNCES $150,000 FOR CALLAHAN AIRPORT IN FAIRHOPE

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that the City of Fairhope will receive $150,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration for improvements at H.L. Sonny Callahan Airport.

Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased to make this announcement for the Callahan Airport. These funds will be used to construct a hangar needed to accommodate an increased number of aircraft at the airport. I was pleased to play a role in securing these funds so the airport may continue work on its improvement efforts.”

This funding, which was secured in the federal appropriations process, will be administered through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP).
