SHELBY ANNOUNCES ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT MEETING FOR OIL AND GAS LEASING PROGRAM IN MOBILE

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL) today announced that the United States Department of the Interior will host a meeting in Mobile to discuss the environmental impact of the proposed Oil and Gas Leasing Program. Senator Shelby said, “I am pleased that the Department of the Interior is holding this public meeting. Those citizens interested in learning more about the Oil and Gas Leasing Program should attend this important meeting. This will provide individuals an opportunity to express their views and I encourage Alabamians to let their voices be heard.”

The meeting will provide an opportunity for interested citizens and organizations to provide input on the scope, significant issues, and alternatives to be considered in the environmental impact statement for the proposed Oil and Gas Leasing Program.
