U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Treasury, and General Government, announced today that the Department of Transportation will be releasing $2,884,215 for the I-10 Connector near Dothan. As Chairman of the Subcommittee, Senator Shelby secured these funds in the fiscal year 2004 appropriations process.
Sen. Shelby said, “I am pleased to announce these funds for the I-10 Connector. This project will allow us to connect the Dothan and Wiregrass area with I-10 in Florida and will greatly improve access and traffic flow throughout Southeastern Alabama.”
