Shelby Announces $154,200 for City of Livingston

U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) will award $154,200 to the City of Livingston for water line rehabilitation.

“Providing citizens access to clean and safe water is vital for every community,” said Shelby.  “This grant will allow the City of Livingston to replace water mains throughout the city, benefiting 65 households and the University of West Alabama’s student housing facilities.”

The Delta Regional Authority grants target projects that will improve infrastructure in distressed counties and develop transportation infrastructure that will facilitate economic development.  DRA also provides funding to job training programs that work with existing public education institutions.
