Alabama Senator Richard Shelby visited neighbors in the wiregrass Saturday. The Republican senator addressed several concerns from folks --most centered around our country's financial state.
He says there is one thing the country must do to get the economy back on track. "We've got to straighten out the banking system where banks start lending again. That's a tall order. It's easier said than done. We've got to bring confidence back into our banking system."
Senator Shelby also touched on the projected $1.8 trillion national deficit in President Obama's budget.
