U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Transportation's Federal Transit Administration has awarded $500,000 for improvements to Alabama’s Traffic Safety Information System.
“It is important for Alabama’s highways to meet the needs of those who travel to, from and through our state by car.” said Shelby. “This funding will help Alabama improve the timeliness, accuracy, completeness, uniformity, integration and accessibility of its safety data systems.”
