U.S. Senator Richard Shelby (R-Ala), ranking member of the Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee (CJS), today announced that the U.S. Department of Commerce National Institute of Standards and Technology has awarded $148,400 to the Alabama Technology Network for the statewide Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program.
“Manufacturers across Alabama rely on the Alabama Technology Network for information on ways to improve their businesses,” said Shelby. “Through the MEP program, Alabama’s manufacturers work directly with experts who can provide critical resources tailored to a business’ individual needs. This includes helping businesses learn how to cut costs while increasing productivity and growth through worker training and process improvements.”
